How to clean up the Simply Bread Slicer by JAC?

For best cleaning results, we recommend using a semi-stiff bottle-style brush to clean between the blades. You can find the recommended cleaning procedures and routines on the Operations Manual provided with the equipement.

What to do if there is some residue on the blades?

If residue is accumulating on the blades while slicing breads, this is often associated with products that are underbaked or not fully cooled before slicing, make sure to always slicer fully cooled-down loaves.
If you have wet residue on the blades, allow it to dry overnight and then brushing or carefully scraping it off the following morning.

There is some discoloration on the blades, is it normal?

The Simply Bread Slicer blades are made from high-carbon steel, just like a quality chef's knife. Some discoloration can be normal and may simply be part of the natural seasoning process, especially when slicing high-moisture loaves. A light mist of food-service-safe machine oil may help protect the blades if any surface oxidation begins to develop.
